Senior Director of Accounting - Healthcare Industry

Overview:
We are looking for a strategic and hands-on Senior Director of Accounting to lead financial operations for a growing healthcare organization. This executive-level role will oversee accounting functions, ensure regulatory compliance, and drive financial performance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage the accounting department, including oversight of financial reporting, budgeting, and internal controls.
  • Develop and implement accounting policies and procedures aligned with healthcare industry standards.
  • Ensure compliance with GAAP, federal and state regulations, and healthcare-specific financial requirements.
  • Provide strategic financial insights to executive leadership to support decision-making.
  • Manage relationships with external auditors, consultants, and regulatory agencies.
  • Mentor and develop accounting team members to support organizational growth.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA required.
  • 10+ years of progressive accounting experience, with at least 5 years in a leadership role within the healthcare industry.
  • Deep understanding of healthcare financial operations, including reimbursement models, cost accounting, and compliance.
  • Proven ability to lead teams and drive process improvements.
  • Strong analytical, communication, and leadership skills.
